- WHAT MAKES THE POST OFFICE CHRISTMAS
CLUB SCHEME ANY DIFFERENT TO OTHER CHRISTMAS CLUB SCHEMES?
It’s easy - your funds are held by the Post Office® and Bank of Ireland until spent. Funds are held in an accountthat is registered to the card holder. If you lose the card it can be cancelled and replaced. Also, your funds are protected by the Irish Deposit Protection Scheme
It’s convenient - you present your Post Office Christmas Club card at any one of 12,000 Post Office branches and hand over money to Post Office® counter staff. In November the cards become “Live” and you can buy gifts and Christmas groceries at participating retailers or exchange them at Post Office® branches for One4All® Gift Cards.

A booklet of offers will be posted to Christmas Club members in October.
- WHY AREN'T YOU OFFERING INTEREST ON THE CHRISTMAS
Christmas Club members are principally interested in the fact that their money is “Locked In” until the beginning of the Christmas period. Therefore, interest on this money is not seen as a requirement. The loyalty offer booklet will provide benefits considerably in excess of the small amount of interest that would be generated by an interest bearing account. Prepaid cards such as this do not pay interest.
